Green Deal UPVC Windows

Paul Gipe: Well, Feed-in-Tariff can do both actually, but the beauty of UPVC windows the Feed and Tariff is it does allow distributed generation by encouraging home owners and farmers and all others to participate by building their own wind and solar power plant. So, yes, it can do both whereas other systems can do it only way and that's the traditional central station model but the future of the electricity supply system in North America is to expand the role of distributed generation, decentralized generation.

Jason Cheeloy: The reality is Ontario is looking to build out capacity, generation capacity that is for renewable energy supply and the Associated Transmission Distribution lines to help connect the electricity produced to the people that have to use the electricity. So, we've got about 300 different developers of UPVC Windows in the room, online, participating in the consultation, collectively developing this new procurement program.

Why Use UPVC Windows?

posted by cnblueco @ 9:06pm, Friday 2 December 2011.

UPVC windows are some of the most durable windows in the world. They last longer than wood and are not susceptible to rust like aluminum. They are made of a plastic material that is highly resistant to adverse elements. They can last up to 25 years under normal conditions. Moreover, they are also easy to maintain. Unlike wood they do not require painting or sanding. The UV coating protects the windows from fading. All one needs to do is wash them once in a while. They are also environment friendly as they reduce the use of heating systems in the house due to their insulating effect. This is in line with the green deal scheme in the UK which aims to make the UK have the greenest government n the world. Under the scheme, buildings in the UK are to be upgraded to make them more environmentally friendly. Research has shown that homes in the UK emit as much greenhouse gases as industries. To control this the government is offering home owners and landlords the opportunity to install energy saving upgrades which include UPVC windows at a fraction of the cost. The payments are deferred and are meant to ensure that the cost of installation is not greater than the benefit realized.
